Install an Enterprise Application

Installing an Enterprise application refers to making its physical file or directory known to WebLogic Server. An Enterprise application can be installed as an archived EAR file or as an exploded directory. After you have installed the Enterprise application, you can start it so that users can begin using it.

NOTE: Any security roles or policies specified in the application's deployment descriptors will not be displayed in the Administration Console until you start the application.

Configuration Options

Name Description
Deployment Archive

The file path that represents the application root directory, archive file, exploded archive directory, or application module descriptor that you want to install. You can also enter the path of the application directory or file.

Deployment Plan Archive

A deployment plan is a configuration which can supplement the descriptors included in the deployment archive. The deployment plan archive is the file path that represents the directory of this deployment configuration information packaged as a JAR file.
