An BaseEngine provides a top-level client interface onto an EJB Entity bean. The BaseEngine has methods for describing all the pieces of the EJB, validating and fixing inconsistencies within the EJB, and modifying the EJB to add, remove, and update properties, ensuring that changes are propagated consistently across all of the EJB's files. The BaseEngine is designed to support all EJB design tools within JDeveloper.
