Visitor Services

Visitor Services allows WebCenter Sites pages to benefit from visitor data captured across multiple external platforms, such as Google, Facebook, major CRM systems, and custom data sources. Captured visitor activity data can be aggregated from multiple repositories into unified visitor profiles that WebCenter Sites marketers can use to improve their visitor segmenting and per-segment content targeting. Progressive profiling continually enhances previously captured visitor data with new data, increasing targeting accuracy as visitors spend more time on the site. These visitor profiles are also accessible to external applications.

Understanding WebCenter Sites: Visitor Services

A/B Testing

A/B testing enables marketers to field-trial individual pieces of content against one another to determine which commands the highest visitor preference. Accessible directly from the Contributor interface, A/B testing bestows complete control of the test on the marketer and provides the choice to use content, presentation, or a mix of both as either test variant. Marketers can choose the criteria for starting the test, qualifying the success of the test, and ending the test.

Once a test is under way, interactive, in-context reporting allows marketers to track the performance of each test in real time directly in the target page, stop or promote a specific test variant, and to continue to the test reporting interface to view more comprehensive performance metrics. A/B testing is fully integrated into WebCenter Sites, eliminating the need to license and train for a separate third-party testing tool, providing a single, integrated author-build-test-deliver solution.

Working with A/B Testing

Contributor Publishing

Users who hold the Publisher role can now publish pages and assets directly from the Contributor interface, eliminating the need to involve the WebCenter Sites administrator for smaller publishing jobs.

Publishing an Approved Asset

My Tags

A new tab in the My Work tree in the Contributor interface displays tags that you have assigned to assets. Selecting a tag displays a list of assets that have been assigned that tag and provides access to asset operations, such as publishing.

Tagging Assets

Inherited Tab

The Inherited tab, available in the asset’s view form, displays asset attributes inherited by the asset from parent assets.

RTL (Right-to-Left) Orientation

The Contributor interface now supports Right-to-Left (RTL) orientation for use with RTL-based languages, such as Arabic.

This feature will be automatically available if your Administrator has configured your environment to support it.
Accessibility Enhancements

WebCenter Sites now supports configurable accessibility features compliant with Oracle Accessibility Guidelines 2.0, including screen reader support, customizable keyboard shortcuts, seamless keyboard-based navigation, and high-contrast mode for Contributor and Admin interfaces.
