Domain Partition: Administration: Resource Groups

This page summarizes the resource groups configured in this domain partition.


Name Description

Creates a new resource group.


Deletes the selected resource group.


Migrates a resource group. When you migrate a resource group, you change the virtual target used by the resource group from one physical target (cluster/ server) to another. After migrating, the virtual target points to the new physical target (cluster/ server).


Causes application deployments and resources that are not currently running to become active.


Causes applications and resources in the resource group to cease operating and to be removed from memory. It is the runtime equivalent to undeploying the application or resource, except that the configuration for the application or resource is not removed from config.xml as it would be in a true undeployment.

Column Display

Name Description

The name of the resource group.

Changes take effect after you redeploy the module or restart the server.

Resource Group Template

The resource group template referenced by this resource group.

The current state of a partition resource group.

WebLogic Server saves this note in the domain's configuration file (config.xml) as XML PCDATA. All left angle brackets (<) are converted to the XML entity &lt;. Carriage returns/line feeds are preserved.

Note: If you create or edit a note from the Administration Console, the Administration Console does not preserve carriage returns/line feeds.
