Configuration Options

Name Description
Do not use an alarm

Select this option if you want the policy expression to continue to be evaluated without resetting it.

Use a manual reset alarm

Select this option if you want to indicate manually when the policy expression is to be re-evaluated. When triggered, the alarm must be reset via the Administration Console or programmatically before it can trigger again.

Use an automatic reset alarm

Select this option if you want the policy expression to be re-evaluated after a specified time. When triggered, the alarm resets after the specified automatic reset period.

Automatic reset period (in seconds)

For automatic alarms, enter the time period (in seconds) to wait after the policy evaluates to true before the alarm is automatically reset. The value is converted to milliseconds before it is stored. For example, if you enter 50 seconds, it is stored as 50000 milliseconds. The default reset period is 60000 milliseconds, which is equivalent to 60 seconds. The minimum value you can specify is 1 second (1000 ms).
