Modify existing actions in a diagnostic system module

Before you begin

To modify an existing action:

  1. If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
  2. In the left pane, expand Diagnostics and select Diagnostic Modules.
  3. On the Summary of Diagnostic Modules page, click the name of the module containing the action(s) you want to modify.
  4. On the Settings for [Module Name] page, select Configuration > Policies and Actions > Actions.
  5. Click the name of the action you want to modify. The Settings for <action_name> page appears. For all action types other than SNMP, there are two tabs: General and <action-type> Properties.
  6. Select or deselect the Enable Action check box to enable or disable the action.
  7. For all action types other than SNMP, select the <action-type> Properties tab and go to the next step. For SNMP actions, skip the next step.
  8. The page that appears next is different for each action type. Change the setting(s) as desired. For information about the items on the page, click the Help link at the top of the page.
  9. Click Save.
  10. In the Change Center, click Activate Changes.
