public class MenuItem
extends javax.swing.JMenuItem

The MenuItem class is a subclass of javax.swing.JMenuItem that has been tuned for improved performance. The icon handling of the class has been tuned for improved performance upon construction, delaying the fetching of any icon associated with the ToggleAction until it is required.
