Utility class for collecting ValidationExceptions and then checking which objects and properties are invalid in the model.

The caching in this class is not thread safe, it is left to the caller to synchronize the addition of exceptions as needed.

add

public void add(ValidationException... exceptions)

Adds the given exceptions to this model.

Parameters:

exceptions - the exceptions to add

getValidationMap

public java.util.Map<java.lang.String,java.util.Collection<ValidationException>> getValidationMap(DBObject obj)

Gets the validation map for the given object. The key in the map is the property, or property path that is invalid. The value is a colleciton of the ValidationExceptions for that property.

Parameters:

obj - the object to query

Returns:

a map of the validation for the given object.

isValid

public boolean isValid(DBObject obj)

Simple test of whether the given object (or its children) has any exceptions against it in the model.

Parameters:

obj - the object to test

getInvalidProperties

public java.util.Collection<java.lang.String> getInvalidProperties(DBObject obj)

Gets a list of the properties that are invalid on the given object.

isValid

public boolean isValid(DBObject obj,
                       java.lang.String prop)

Tests whether a property on the given object is valid.

Parameters:

obj - the object to test

prop - the property to test

Returns:

false if there is at least one ValidationException added for that property.

getValidation

public java.util.Collection<ValidationException> getValidation(DBObject obj,
                                                               java.lang.String prop)

Gets any ValidationExceptions that have been added against the given object for the given property. The property can be a property path including child objects. For example if obj is a Table and prop is "columns/name" this will return all ValidationExceptions cached for the name of any column in the table.

Parameters:

obj - the object to test

prop - the property (or property path) to test

Returns:

any relevant ValidationExceptions
