validate

public List<oracle.fmwplatform.util.validation.ValidationMessage> validate(EnvironmentModel model)

Validates the EnvironmentModel object provided and returns the resulting validation messages, which include any errors and/or warnings found in the validation process. This method validates that the environment model is non-null, and that it has a topology. Credential attribute is attached if present in the model. Elements are validated recursively based on their validation annotations, and custom validation methods if they implement ValidationParticipant.

Parameters:

model - the EnvironmentModel to be validated

Returns:

a list of validation error and warning messages

validate

                                                                           String oracleHomePath)

Validates the EnvironmentModel object provided, similar to validate(EnvironmentModel). In addition, an Oracle home path attribute is attached if specified.

Parameters:

model - the EnvironmentModel to be validated

oracleHomePath - the path to an Oracle home for template resolution

Returns:

a list of validation error and warning messages
