6.31 Mapping Editor

A mapping consists of a set of rules that defines the loading of one or more target data stores, from one or more source data stores.

The Mapping Editor is organized into three main tabs. Each main tab is made up of several tabs and components:

6.31.1 Connector Points

Connector points define the connections between components inside a mapping. Each component can have input and output connector points. The component type might place limitations on how many connector points are allowed.

Input Connector Points

Properties Description
Name Name of the connector point. This field can be edited.
Description Description of the connector point.
Bound Object Name of the object to which the connector point is bound. This field remains blank if the component type does not support connector point binding.
Connected From Names of the preceding components this component connects from.

Output Connector Points

Properties Description
Name Name of the connector point. Can be changed by the user.
Description Description of the connector point.
Bound Object Name of the object to which the connector point is bound. This field remains blank if the component type does not support connector point binding.
Connected To Names of the succeeding components this component connects to.
