Implements the DestinationAvailabilityListener interface to recieve destination availability notifications.

Method Detail

onDestinationsAvailable

void onDestinationsAvailable(java.lang.String destJNDIName,
                             java.util.List<DestinationDetail> list)

Callback that provides a list of newly available destinations corresponding to the JNDI name that was specified when the destination availability listener was registered.

Note:

• The list contains destinations that never have been declared as available and destinations that that were previously declared unavailable. It does not include destinations that have already been declared available but were not subsequently declared unavailable.
• For listeners registered to monitor a WebLogic 9.0 later distributed destination, the list contains newly available member destinations.
• For listeners registered to monitor a regular (non-distributed) destination, a third party (non-WebLogic) JMS destination, or a WebLogic pre-9.0 distributed destination, the following applies even when these types of destinations become available and unavailable as destinations are undeployed, added as a new member, migrated, shutdown, or restarted:
• This callback is only called once for the life time of each registration.
• The list only contains one entry.

Parameters:

destJNDIName - The JNDI name of the destination for which this listener is registered.

list - A list of DestinationDetail instances.

onDestinationsUnavailable

void onDestinationsUnavailable(java.lang.String destJNDIName,
                               java.util.List<DestinationDetail> list)

Callback to provide a list of WebLogic 9.0 or later distributed destination members that have become unavailable.

Note:

• The list contains only members that have become unavailable after a previous available notification.
• This call back is never called for listeners registered to monitor a regular (non-distributed) destination, a third party (non-WebLogic) JMS destination, or a WebLogic pre-9.0 distributed destination.

Parameters:

destJNDIName - The JNDI name of the destination for which this listener is registered.

list - A list of DestinationDetail instances.

onFailure

void onFailure(java.lang.String destJNDIName,
               java.lang.Exception exception)

Callback to provide any current error related to obtaining destination availability.

Note:

• Errors should be logged by the caller in case the problem is not temporary. For example: specifying a non-existent JNDI name or incorrect security information. Logging the errors allows an administrator to take corrective action if needed.
• A destination availability helper automatically retries after an error. To avoid redundant onFailure callbacks, the helper makes a best effort to only call onFailure once for each repeated failure/exception type.

Parameters:

destJNDIName - The JNDI name of the destination for which this listener is registered.

exception - The exception that has caused a failure.
