Set Up HCM Professional Activity Center

Complete these steps to set up the HCM Professional Activity Center.

• Enable the ORA_PER_HR_ACTIVITY_CENTER_ENABLED profile option. Starting in 26C, this profile option is set to Yes by default. It doesn't disable Classic or Responsive Person Management.
• Complete the setup required for person spotlight search.
• Build and refresh the search indexes.
  • Create the person index, fa-hcm-person and run initial data ingestion. For details, see Run Initial Data Ingestion.
  • Set Up Data Security for HCM.
  • Enable Oracle Search for workers LOV. For details, see Oracle Search for Workers List of Values.
• Use Visual Builder Studio extensibility to configure the HCM Professional Activity Center. For more information, see Extensibility for HCM Professional Activity Center
• Use the Structure tool to configure the quick actions displayed in the Person Activity Center. For more information, see Manage the Display of Quick Actions in Activity Centers.
• To enable the National ID filter in Redwood person search, see National Identifier Person Search.

Access Requirements

• Access to each quick action is controlled by its associated privileges and the roles assigned to the user.
• To use the search feature, professional users must have the Access Person Spotlight Advanced Search duty role.
