Performing General Needs Analysis for Companies or Contacts
Table 6 shows the needs analysis sessions that can be performed by product type.

After entering specific details in the selected Needs Analysis view, end users can prompt Siebel Finance to recommend the best product or service for the company or contact. To perform a general needs analysis for a company or contact
- Navigate to the one of the following views depending on the type of needs analysis to perform:
- Companies screen > Companies List view.
- Contacts screen > Contacts List view.
- In the list, drill down on a company or contact for which you want to perform a needs analysis.
- Click the Needs Analysis view tab.
- On the Needs Analysis link bar, select the desired type of needs analysis.
- In the Needs Analysis form, add a record and complete the necessary fields.
- To use a script to help determine values to enter, click Script.
- In the SmartScript list, drill down on the Name link.
- Complete the questions as prompted, and click Finish.
- (Optional) Click the Recommend button to generate a recommendation.
