Using Siebel Tools > Working with Strings and Other Locale-Specific Data > Showing or Hiding Locale-Specific Items in Applet LayoutWhen working with multiple languages, you may wish to show or hide certain fields based on the requirements of a particular locale. You hide controls or list columns using the Visible and Show in List properties of the Control and List Column object types, respectively, not in the web templates. NOTE: Deleting a control or list column object from the applet layout in the Applet Layout Editor will cause that control or list column to be deleted across all languages, even if you are in Language Override Mode. After setting up your parent language you can then determine the fields you wish to hide for your child languages. Table 50 lists the object types, the property names, and provides a description.
