Configuring the New Communication Command

This section describes how the New Communication command in the File application-level menu is configured.

The File menu contains the New Communication command, which initiates a new outbound communication request. The name and position of this command as an item in the File menu are determined in Siebel Tools by the "File - New Communication" menu item definition.

The New Communication menu item invokes a command defined in Siebel Tools, which in turn invokes a business method. The command is available only when the current business object corresponds to a recipient group defined for outbound communication requests.
