The Siebel ERM Environment

Siebel ERM users access the application using a standard Web browser. Siebel ERM accesses servers outside your company's firewall to provide end users with information from external content providers, such as Siebel eContent Services. Figure 1 shows the Siebel ERM architecture. The Web browser connects to the Web server. The Web server connects to the Siebel Gateway, which in turn connects to other Siebel servers. The Siebel servers are connected to a database and, through the Internet, to eContent Services.
