In Table 4, added a description of the Group field.
A note about the Verify button being a business service has been removed. The note was incorrect.
Removed the Note paragraph referring to the Suppress Calendar check box, which no longer appears on the Activities screen.
In Table 15, removed the description of the Suppress Calendar check box, which no longer appears on the Activities screen. Also added a description of the Repeat Frequency field.
In Table 17, clarified the description of the Commit and Commit All buttons.
Added a Caution paragraph regarding manual schedule changes.
Added a paragraph about restarting the server component after changing key mappings.

To the first paragraph, added a clarification about how to make automatic invoicing work.

Deleted this procedure from Service Inventory. The procedure was inaccurate.
Added a subsection explaining a best practice for creating certain inventory levels.
Rewrote Step 3 through Step 6 to claritfy the procedure. Added a Caution paragraph about changing settings.
Added a new procedure to explain how to set a repeating component request for the Cycle Counting Engine.
Rewrote the chapter to be more task-based and better-focused on its user audiences. Changes include the following:
  • Reorganized the material into Administrator, Product Marketing, Engineering, and Quality Assurance user sections.
  • Added process flow diagrams and descriptions for the user tasks.
  • Removed the view descriptions and rolled their text into the procedures.
  • Removed procedures for associating a service request with a change request, accessing a primary occurrence change request from its child, and accessing a multiple occurrence change request from its parent.
  • Removed the sections on Charts and Reports.
  • In the Administrator section, added procedures for setting up roles and responsibilities, lists of values, area-subarea mappings, and product builds.
  • In the Quality Assurance sections, added procedures for querying for, adding attachments to, reopening, and Close-Verifying change requests.
  • To the Engineering section, added a procedure for assigning change requests.
  • To the Product Marketing section, added procedures for querying for, reassigning, and closing change requests.
  • Added a section with background material and new procedures for generating, approving, and shipping patch requests.
Added the seventh bulleted paragraph to help clarify the relationship between assets and products.
Added a Note paragraph after Step 5 to clarify asset configuration from within a set of records displayed by a predefined query.
Added a section and procedure explaining how to create a hierarchical asset from a product bundle.
Added a Caution paragraph about recording readings for assets whose products have changed.
Rewrote this section to clarify what a service request template includes.
In Table 128, added a description for the Interval field.
"Glossary"
The book's Glossary section has been removed. The glossary definitions have been added to the main Glossary book.
