Running Spelling Checker on Chat Sessions

The Chat: Set Language Workflow system preference sets the default language for the chat spelling checker. However, agents can manually override the default language setting for the chat spelling checker at run time by using the Change Language button on the text button bar or the corresponding keyboard shortcut, if it is configured. After changing the language, agents can restore the default language mapping for the chat spelling checker. Use the following procedure to run spelling checker on a chat session.

To run spelling checker on chat sessions

1. In the Siebel Chat UI, click the tab of the chat interaction that you want to spell check.
2. Click the Spell Check button on the text button bar, or enter the keyboard shortcut key for the spelling checker (if configured).

   On the spelling checker window, the Language read-only field displays the default language that is currently set for the chat spelling checker.

3. Review the suggested spelling or enter the correct spelling as required.
4. Use the following buttons to complete the spelling check as required:

   Change, Change All, Ignore, Ignore All, Add to Dictionary, Done, and Cancel

Use the following procedure to override the default language setting for the chat spelling checker, and set a different spelling-checker language for the chat session.

To change the spelling checker language for a chat session 

1. In the Siebel Chat interface, click the tab of the chat interaction that you want to spell check.
2. On the text button bar, click the Change Language button.
3. Select the language that you want from the language list that is displayed, then click OK.
4. On the text button bar, click the Spell Check button to run the spelling checker in the new language on the selected chat session.

Use the following procedure to restore the spelling checker language for a chat session to the default language for the chat spelling checker.

To restore the spelling checker language for a chat session to the default language

1. Select the chat interaction that you want.
2. Click the Action menu in the chat dashboard.
3. Select Restore to Default Language for Spell Check, and then click Go.
