Associating Manually Created Cases with Master Cases


When an agent manually creates a case for a nonbenefit category, that case is not associated with a master case. To associate these cases for nonbenefit categories with master cases, the administrator must perform the procedure in this topic. This task is a step in Roadmap for Administering Benefits Cases.

To associate manually created cases with a master case

  1. Log in to Siebel Tools as an administrator.
  2. Select Business Component in the Object Explorer, and then select the HLS Case business component.
  3. Lock this business component so that you can change it.
  4. Navigate to Business Component, then Business Component User Prop in the Object Explorer.
  5. In the Value field of the Associate Master for Categories property, enter the category names of the manually created cases that you want to associate with a master case.

    Separate each category name with a semicolon (;), for example, Benefit; Tax.

  6. Compile the object for your changes into the Siebel Repository File.
  7. Unlock the business component.
