Creating Categories for Branch Locations


Before you create branch locations, create the categories for the branch locations.

This task is a step in Process of Setting Up Branch Locations.

To create a category for a branch location

  1. Navigate to the Administration - Data screen, then the List of Values view.
  2. In the List of Values list, add a record, and complete the necessary fields.

    Some fields are described in the following table.

    Type

    Select a value of BUSINESS_CATEGORY. This field designates the category type for the branch locations.

    Displayed Value

    Type the name of category value that the customers see.

    Language Independent Code

    Type the language independent field value that is used to search for the category. For example, in the Spanish version of Siebel eService, you might see Oficinas de Ventas for the Displayed Value field, but the Language Independent Code value is Sales Offices.
