Common NIS+ Namespace Error Messages
For each user given new credentials with the dummy passwd, they need to run chkey to convert to their login password. For more information, see Changing Keys for an NIS+ Principal.
Run chkey to convert to your login password:
# chkey -p (screen notices not shown)
