Pc-Check Diagnostics Overview

Pc-Check is an operating system (OS) agnostic package and therefore does not require a running OS as a prerequisite. This has the advantage of not requiring a significant amount of a system’s operations to diagnose problems. The diagnostic utility is integrated into the ILOM firmware to supply you with an always on-site and on-system diagnostic solution for your server. Pc-Check is designed to detect and test all motherboard components, ports, and slots.

You can execute Pc-Check directly from the host server if the server contains an SP. If your server does not contain an SP, you can execute Pc-Check from the server Tools and Drivers CD/DVD. Pc-Check has four operating modes that you can run either through the ILOM web interface or through the ILOM CLI. These modes are as follows:
