To manually install Windows Server 2008 R2, complete the following tasks in order:
Choose a delivery method.
For more information about media access options, see Selecting a Windows OS Media Delivery Method.
Download required software and server-specific drivers.
(Optional) Prepare the remote console (JavaRConsole) if you are doing a remote install.
Create a virtual disk, and configure RAID if desired.
Install Windows Server 2008.
Install critical drivers and supplemental software after the initial installation of Windows.
