The Oracle ILOM SP is assigned a DHCP IP address by default. There are two requirements for DHCP IP address assignment to occur:
You must connect to your network through one of the NET MGT ports.
DHCP services must be present on your network infrastructure.
If a DHCP server cannot be reached after three DHCP requests, the Oracle ILOM SP is assigned a static IP address based on the network management port MAC address. This IP address is always in the format 192.168.xxx.xxx.
