The response to a viewInContext request is a document element.
When end-users review their search results, it is usually with the intention of viewing more information about the query topic. The viewInContext query is used to return a specific search result along with the document context.
Note:Adobe PDF files can not be returned as a response to a request. Instead, they must be served by the Web site directly from a URL supplied by the user interface. Therefore, for a View Item request which involves a document identifier of a PDF file, ATG Search returns the PDF highlighting information in XML format, instead of the source content. The user interface can handle this by displaying the external URL, modified with the highlighting information.
