ATG Content Administration (CA) provides tools for publishing and maintaining content for ATG-built Web applications. It allows you to manage all stages of the content lifecycle, including creation, approval, and deployment to a staging or production site.

ATG Content Administration introduces the concept of assets, which represent all the content and other items that must be available on the production server for your Web sites to work correctly. Assets are versioned, meaning that a numbered instance of each asset is maintained in the ATG Content Administration database. Each application has its own asset types; for example, Commerce assets include catalogs, price lists, and promotions. Oracle ATG Web Commerce Outreach introduces assets related to e-mail and Web campaigns.

ATG Content Administration is installed with the platform. It is launched through the Business Control Center.
