Back Up the Current SP Configuration


Note -  You cannot use Oracle Enterprise Ops Center for this portion of the upgrade procedure.
  1. Set a 16-character passphrase for encryption of the SP configuration information. Type:
    -> set /SP/config passphrase=<XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX>
    Set 'passphrase' to 'XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX'
    
    -> 

    Note the passphrase for later use.

  2. Create the backup of the SP configuration information. Type:
    -> set /SP/config dump_uri=scp://<username>@<ip_address_or_hostname>/backup_XXXXXXXX.xml                        
    Enter remote user password: *********
    Dump successful.
    
    ->

    The backup file might take several minutes to write, depending on the amount of platform-specific data in your configuration.

    Note the name and location of the SP backup file.


    Note -  If you are upgrading the system firmware on more than one server, Oracle recommends using a different file name for each SP backup.
  3. Load the initial firmware image.
