You can use the Event Management System to automatically monitor targets for specific conditions, such as loss of service or lack of storage. You define what to monitor by creating an "event", which is handled by the Intelligent Agent associated with each target. When an event condition is detected, the Event Management System can notify the administrator on call for the service. In certain cases, Enterprise Manager can also run a predefined "Fixit" job to correct the problem.
