On the General page of the Create Event dialog box, you specify a name for the event, select the targets you want to monitor, and set the polling frequency. You can also specify a fixit job to correct the problem, and assign the event to another administrator. Unsolicited events are generated asynchronously by third party applications, so do not require polling.
