Intelligent Agents execute jobs
on targets in the order in
which they are received, and
notify the Management Server of the result.
The Management Server then updates the
repository and affected
Consoles, and notifies
scheduled administrators via
e-mail or paging. If the job cannot be performed on the target (for example, if the service is down), the agent notifies the Management Server that the job has failed and tries to run the job again at preset intervals. |
