When an event occurs on a
target, the Intelligent Agent
notifies the Management Server. The Management Server
then writes the new
information to the repository,
updates the Consoles of
affected administrators, and
notifies scheduled
administrators via e-mail or
paging. The agent uses listeners to monitor databases. If a listener is down, the agent will report that the database is also down. |
