Merging Immigration Contacts


You can merge records from the Immigration Contacts screen > Immigration Contacts View. When two contacts records are merged, the identity records from both contacts are maintained in the Contact Identity History for the merged contact. The primary identity for the primary contact in the merge becomes the primary identity for the merged contact record. All identity records maintain their existing status values.

This task is a step in Process of Managing Immigration Contacts.

To merge immigration contacts

  1. Navigate to the Immigration Contact Screen > Immigration Contacts list view.
  2. Select the immigration contact records to be merged.

    The second record selected becomes the primary contact record. The first record is merged into the primary record.

  3. From the application-level menu, choose Edit > Merge Records.
  4. From the dialog box confirming the merge, click OK.

    The merged contacts have a new Contact ID.
