Preconfiguring the Siebel Handheld Application

There are two steps to follow when preconfiguring your Siebel Handheld application. They are listed below:

To modify the Siebel Tools .cfg file

1. Open the Siebel Tools configuration file: [install directory]\tools\bin\enu\tools.cfg.
2. Make sure the Siebel Tools database connection information is correct.
3. In the [Siebel] section, verify that ClientConfigurationMode = All.
4. Save and close the file.
5. Open Siebel Tools.

To preconfigure an application

1. Launch Siebel Tools and navigate to View > Options > Object Explorer.
2. In the Development Tools Options box, make sure the following items are checked:
   • Applet
   • Application
   • Business Component
   • Business Object
   • Find
   • Screen
   • Toolbar
   • View
   • Workflow Process
3. Click OK.
4. In the Object Explorer, click the Types tab, then click Application.
5. Query the application list for your Siebel Handheld application.

   For example, Siebel HH LS Medical.

Select the application, then from the Application level menu, select Tools > Lock Project.
