Deploying Customizations Using the ADM Framework

At the highest level, the process of migrating customizations using the Application Deployment Manager (ADM) framework involves the following phases:

  1. Packaging. Bundling the customizations made in one environment in preparation for migration to another environment. For more information on this stage, seeAbout the Deployment Package Directory and About the ADM Packaging Process.
  2. Deploying. Deploying the customizations package to the target environment. For more information on this stage, see About the ADM Deployment Process.

NOTE:  The descriptions of these two phases assume that the ADM framework is installed and configured.

See Figure 3 for a high-level overview of the ADM process. For information about the ADM framework, see Overview of the ADM Architecture. For more information on the other options that describe how to migrate customizations outside the ADM framework, see Other Options for Deploying Customizations Using ADM.
