Importing Communication Configuration Seed Data


Siebel RTD requires seed data to function correctly. You must add seed data for communication configuration. To add seed data, you import the data from a configuration file.

This task is a step in Process of Configuring Siebel Business Applications for Siebel RTD.

To import seed data to a communication configuration

  1. Navigate to the Administration - Communications screen > All Configurations view.
  2. Click New to create a new configuration, then type a name for the configuration.
  3. Click Import Configuration, then click Next on the Import Configuration wizard.
  4. In the Import Configuration wizard, select the following options:
    • Configuration Parameters
    • Commands
    • Events
    • Drivers and Profiles
  5. Use the Browse button to select the configuration file. The configuration you must select depends on the type of application that you want to configure, as shown in the following table:

    B2B_Comm_Config.def

    B2C

    B2C_Comm_Config.def

  6. Click OK on the Import Configuration wizard.
  7. Click the Agents tab, then use the Agents form to add all Siebel Call Center agents who need to use Siebel RTD.
  8. Click the Profiles tab, then use the Profiles form to add the appropriate communication profiles to the communication configuration.
