Configuring BEO and SOE Report Headers


As the administrator, you can add global report headers to the system and then associate them with different properties and products so that they are displayed when BEO and SOE reports are generated. Line items for these reports are categorized under different report headers and if these report headers are not configured, the line items will be displayed in the reports.

To configure the report headers for BEO and SEO reports, perform the steps in the following procedures.

This task is a step in Process of Administering Hospitality Reports.

To create a global report header

  1. Navigate to the Report Headers screen.
  2. In the Report Headers list, create a new record, and save your information.

    It is now possible to associate this global report header with individual properties and products.

To associate a report header with a product

  1. Navigate to the Administration - Product screen > Products list view.
  2. Query for the product with which you want to associate the report header.
  3. In the Report Header field, click the select button, and then select the report header.
  4. Step off the record to save the information.

To set up a property-specific report header

  1. Navigate to the Property Administration screen > Properties list view.
  2. Query for the property to which you want to add the report header.

    You can add a subset of the global headers to make them available for the selected property.

  3. Drill down on the Property Name hyperlink.
  4. Click the Report Headers view tab to navigate to that view.
  5. In the Report Headers list, create a new record.

    Some of the fields are described in the following table.

    Field
    Comments

    Report Header

    This value is selected from the report headers added in the Report Headers screen.

    Label

    The name of the report header as it appears in the generated report. Using this field, you can add your own customized labels for the global report headers.

    BEO Sequence

    The sequence in which the report header appears in the BEO report. For example, if 1 is entered as the value, the report header appears as the first header in the generated report.

    SOE Sequence

    The sequence in which the report header appears in the SOE report.

    Display in SOE

    When this check box is selected, the report header appears in SOE reports when they are generated.

    Comments can now be added to the report header if required.

To create comments for a property-specific report header

  1. Navigate to the Property Administration screen > Properties list view.
  2. In the Properties list, query for the property.
  3. Drill down on the Property Name hyperlink.
  4. Select the Report Headers view tab to navigate to that view.
  5. In the Report Headers list, query for the record to which you want to add the comment.
  6. Scroll down to the Comments list.
  7. Create a new record, and add the comment and a brief description.
  8. In the sequence field, add a number to indicate the sequence in which the comment should be displayed in the BEO or SOE report.
  9. (Optional) Click the Check Spelling button if you want to check the comment text for spelling errors.

To display report headers in the SOE Report

  1. Navigate to the Property Administration screen > Properties list view.
  2. Query for the property to which you are adding the report header.
  3. Drill down on the Property Name hyperlink.
  4. Click the Report Headers view tab to navigate to that view.
  5. In the Report Headers list, select an existing record or create a new record and complete the fields.
  6. Select the Display in SOE check box for each of the report headers that should be displayed on the SOE report and save your changes.
