Adding or Changing Asset Details
You can add asset details for a new asset or update the details for an existing asset. To add or change asset details
- From the Asset Management palette, select an asset.
- In the Asset Details section, click the Details tab.
- Complete or update the fields in the following table.

Asset Name |
The name of the asset, for example, My Product Profile. The asset name appears in the Asset banner at the top of the Asset Management palette. |
Type |
The type of the asset, which can be Message, Thumbnail, or Component. |
Release Date |
The date of release of the asset. |
Expiration Date |
The date on which the asset is no longer valid. |
Description |
A brief description of the asset. |
Legal Approval |
This check box indicates whether the asset has received legal approval or not. |
Marketing Approval |
This check box indicates whether the asset has received marketing approval or not. |
Product |
The name of the product corresponding to this asset. |
Status |
The status of the asset, which can be Approved or Unapproved. |
Verification Status |
The verification status for this asset, which can be Verified, Not Verified or Successful. |
Distribution Method |
Designates the method by which the asset is sent to the user's computer from Siebel CRM. The values include:
- Publish. Automatically moves the asset to the user's computer when synchronization with Siebel CRM takes place.
- By Request. Automatically moves the asset metadata to the user's computer when synchronization with Siebel CRM takes place, but waits until the user clicks the selected asset to move the full asset file.

NOTE: When you click an editable field, picklists, text boxes, and date selectors appear automatically depending on the field type.
