Manually Synchronizing Data


You can manually synchronize data with Siebel CRM from the Sync application console by completing the steps in the following procedure.

To manually synchronize data

  1. To display the Sync application console, click the Sync application icon in the system tray.
  2. Choose Siebel CRM to synchronize data with by clicking the data source field in the Data Source Information section, and selecting an entry from the list.

    For example, choose DataSource: Sales (OfflineClient1)   

    NOTE:  The data source names are configured by the developer or customer administrator. For more information, see Configuration Guide for Siebel Offline Client for Life Sciences.

  3. Click Sync to begin the synchronization.

    Synchronization processing is logged on the right side of the Sync application console area. A Sync Complete message appears in the Detail Log area when the synchronization processing is completed.

  4. You must close and log in to the Sales or AMP application again when synchronization is complete, and then do the following:
    • In the Sign In window, which appears above the system tray, enter your login credentials and then click Sign In.

      When you have signed in, the Sync client console displays a message indicating that the data is refreshed.

  5. Minimize the Sync client console to the operating system tray.
  6. Return to the Sales or AMP application.
