About Network Connectivity Sensing and Automated Synchronization

The Sync application automatically detects when there is network connectivity and determines when it can connect to the Siebel CRM server. The Sync icon indicates a disconnected state when it cannot determine the network connectivity status.

The Sync application automatically synchronizes data with Siebel CRM when network connectivity is available. The synchronization references a timed interval. This synchronization interval is set to 60 minutes by default, which means data synchronization occurs automatically every 60 minutes if the Sync application can connect to the server. If the Sync application cannot connect to the server at the synchronization interval, synchronization occurs when network connectivity is reestablished.

NOTE:  You can reset the synchronization interval in the datasources.xml file. The ListOfDataSources Sync Period attribute is set to 60 by default in datasources.xml, for example:

     ListOfDataSources SyncPeriod="60"
