Signing On and Synchronizing Data for the First Time


When the Sales application is installed for the first time, the Sync application requests the user's login credentials for Siebel CRM, which it authenticates.

To sign on and synchronize data for the first time

  1. In the Sign In window that appears above the system tray, enter your login credentials.

    For example, enter the following for Siebel CRM:

    Username: CWHITE

    Password: CWHITE

  2. Click Sign In.

    The Sync application authenticates you with Siebel CRM as required.

    The Sync application's icon in the system tray indicates that a synchronization is in progress. An initial, full download synchronization then starts from Siebel CRM.

    After the initial synchronization is complete, the Sync application icon displays the Idle status.
