Setting Up Siebel CRM Users for the Offline Client for Life Sciences
Complete the following procedure to configure Siebel CRM users for the Offline Client for Life Sciences. To configure Siebel CRM users for the Offline Client for Life Sciences
- Log into your Siebel business application.
- Navigate to the Administration - Server Configuration screen, Enterprises, and then the Synchronize view.
- Click the Synchronize button.
- Navigate to the Administration - Siebel Remote screen.
- Create a new mobile client record, for example, called SPORTER and set the fields for SPORTER as shown in the following table.
NOTE: If SPORTER already exists, then delete it and recreate the record setting the App Server Name to the current server and the other fields as shown in the following table.

- Navigate to the Administration - Server Management screen, then the Jobs view.
- Create a new job with the parameter shown in the following table.

This creates a new database template in the Siebel\dbtempl folder.
Create one job for each server.
- Wait until the task in Step 7 completes successfully.
- Create a new job with the parameters shown in the following table.

This creates a new folder in the Siebel\docking folder. For example:
Siebel\docking\SPORTER
Create one job for each user.
- Wait until the task in Step 9 completes successfully.
- Repeat Step 9 and Step 10 for each remote client.
Remote user setup is complete.
