About Message Plan Presentations

After you start your message plan presentation, you can interrupt the presentation by double-clicking the screen to activate the following buttons:

  • Launch the presentation. Closes all other options and starts the presentation.
  • # of Physicians. Allows you to increase the number of attending physicians during a presentation. When you select Number (#) of Physicians, a placeholder is created, which stores the metrics captured from the time when the placeholder was created. When the presentation is finished, a summary page appears, which requires the user to select customers who will be associated with the placeholders created during the presentation.
  • Disclosure. Enables you to display a predefined disclosure message during the presentation. This message is defined during the message planning setup. The Detailer enables you to revert to this message at any point during the detailing session.
  • Show markup. Enables you to mark up the presentation. It displays a marker instead of a cursor.
  • Signature. Displays the Signature Capture page. You can select this option before or during a presentation. When you select Signature, you are prompted for the following values:
    • Physician Name. It is recommended that you enter a name in this field as part of the precall activity. When the license credentials are authenticated; that is, if the license is recorded and active for the selected contact, the physician name entered in this field appears in the Signature Capture dialog box. The signature for the selected physician will be captured if the following conditions are satisfied:
      • The license credentials must be valid for the state or jurisdiction where you are dropping the samples.
      • You must have the specified quantities of the samples.
      • The call must not be in the future.
    • Sample Name. The name of the sample. It is recommended that you enter the sample name as part of the call-planning activity. This field is read-only.
    • Lot#. The lot number for the sample. This field is read-only.
    • Quantity. You can update this row, as required. It is recommended that you enter a value in this field as part of the precall activity.

When you have entered the information for the signature, you can capture, save, cancel or clear an existing signature. After these activities are completed, the Signature Capture dialog box closes.

You can optionally lock the signature that you just captured by clicking Lock in the lower left corner of the Signature dialog box. When you click Lock, a numeric keypad appears and prompts you for a key code. This code is used to prevent customers from any further navigation or activity when you hand over the computer for signature capture. When the computer is returned to you, you can enter the key code and unlock the presentation.

  • Available Message Plans. Displays a list of the other available message plans.
  • Left arrow. Use the left arrow to navigate backwards in the message plan.
  • Currently selected Message Plan. The highlighted item indicates the message plan that appears.
  • Right arrow: Use the right arrow to navigate forward in the Message Plan.
  • Exit: Use to exit the message plan and to return to the main Sales application screen.
