Creating an Account Call from the Home Page


You can create a scheduled call or a planned call from the home page.

To create an account call from the home page

  1. From the home page, double-click an account from the Account quick list to show the account's Profile window.

    You can close this window by clicking Minimize in the right corner of the window.

  2. To create a scheduled call for the account, drag the account profile window or the list record to a time slot in the Daily or Weekly Calendar.
  3. To create a planned call for the account, drag the Contact Profile window or the list record to the Call Plan area that contains the planned call vCards.

    For a planned call, if the scheduled call vCards are displayed at the time an account is dropped in to the Call Plan area, the UI display changes to the planned call vCard display. You can also create a planned call for an account by clicking and dragging the Account Profile window to a day in the monthly calendar. For multiple accounts, you can select account records in the quick list, then drag and drop the records to the Call Plan area.

  4. You can click Schedule a Call for today (if using Siebel CRM) in the account profile window to create a call for the account in the Call Detail page.

    You can remove the scheduled call in the Daily Calendar view.
