Creating a Contact Call from the Home Page


You can create a scheduled call or a planned call from the home page.

To create a contact call from the home page

  1. From the home page, double-click a contact from the Contact quick list to display the contact's Profile window.

    You can close this window by clicking Minimize in the right corner of the window.

  2. You can create one of the following call types:
    • Scheduled call. Drag the contact profile window or the list record to a time slot in the Daily or Weekly Calendar.
    • Planned call. Drag the contact profile window or the list record to the Call Plan area with the planned call vCards displayed.

      If the scheduled call vCards are displayed at the same time that a contact is dropped to the Call Plan area, the UI displays the planned call vCard.

      You can also create a planned call for a contact by dragging the contact profile window to a day in the monthly calendar. For multiple contacts, you can select contact records in the quick list, and drag and drop the records to the Call Plan area.

  3. Click Schedule a Call for Today in the contact profile window to create a call with the contact, and to open the Call Details page.

    For information on completing the call details, see Entering or Updating Professional Call Details. When the call is scheduled, you can remove this record from the Daily Calendar view.
