Checking Server Component State
Check periodically to make sure that the Smart Answer server component is online and functioning correctly. To check server component state
- Navigate to the Administration - Server Configuration screen > Servers view.
- Select the appropriate server from the list of servers, click on the Components tab, then query for the Smart Answer Manager component.
- Select the Smart Answer Manager component, then click on the Parameters tab for the component. Select the Knowledge Base Name parameter.
- Navigate to the Administration - Server Management screen > Servers view.
- Click the Components tab, then query for the Smart Answer Manager component.
Verify that the Smart Answer Manager server component has a component state of Online.
- If the component is not online, check the Smart Answer log file at
siebsrvr\log\SmartAnswer_ xxx .
- Make sure that the KB parameter is entered correctly. For more information about how to set the KB parameter correctly, see Enabling Smart Answer Server Component.
