Process of Configuring an Analytics Repository

The general process of configuring Siebel Analytics applications repositories is as follows:

• Stop the Siebel Analytics services.

  See Stopping and Starting Services When Importing a Repository (Windows Only).

• Using the Server Administration Tool, configure the Siebel Analytics repository (SiebelAnalytics.rpd) in the Physical layer.
  • Change the default data source names (DSN) and DSN user name to conform with your DSNs and DSN user name. See Changing the Default Analytics DSNs.
  • Change the database connection type for the data sources relevant to your Analytics operational applications. See Changing the Analytics Database Type.
  • Change the tableowner to match the owner of your database environment for:
    • Siebel transactional database (OLTP database)
    • Siebel Data Warehouse

• Restart the Siebel Analytics services.
