Installation Requirements for All UNIX Platforms

This process lists tasks that should be completed and items to be aware of before installing Siebel Analytics software.

NOTE:  The installation script creates the essential environment settings.

• Choose a user ID that can run all Siebel Analytics processes.

  You may need to create the user ID first. (This is a task for a UNIX Administrator.)

• You must have the third-party software for Java and Xvfb installed.

  See Siebel System Requirements and Supported Platforms on Siebel SupportWeb for the correct versions to use with this version of Siebel Analytics.

• If you are reinstalling or installing a new version of Siebel Analytics, you must first uninstall the software. See Uninstalling or Upgrading Siebel Analytics (UNIX).
