Working with Web Collaboration Templates

The templates provided as seed data in the Web Collaboration Templates view provide vendor-specific URLs and scripts that are used by Siebel applications to communicate with the vendor's Web collaboration server.

For collaboration technologies by vendors other than Siebel Systems, you must modify the communications configuration related to Web collaboration, if necessary, and add all the templates you use. If you plan to implement and switch between different technologies, you can define a set of templates, or package, for each vendor and switch between the packages.

You can access the Web collaboration templates by logging into a Siebel employee application and choosing View > Site Map > Communications Administration > Web Collaboration Templates.

Following are the templates provided as seed data for the default Siebel eCollaboration implementation.

• AgentLoginScript. This JavaScript updates and installs plug-ins for voice over IP and presentation on the agent's Windows desktop when the agent logs in to the Web collaboration server.
• AgentJoinScript. This JavaScript downloads and starts the agent-side applets when the agent joins a session.
• AgentJoinURL. This URL notifies the Web collaboration server when the agent joins a session.
• AgentReleaseURL. This URL notifies the Web collaboration server when the agent ends a session from the communications toolbar.
• AgentTransferURL. This URL notifies the Web collaboration server when the agent does a blind session transfer from the communications toolbar.
• CallerSubmitScript. This JavaScript submits a session request to the Web collaboration server and downloads and starts caller-side applets.
