Setting Up Sleeping Room Costing Data


Revenue Managers can define the costs associated with each sleeping room type at the property. The values entered in the Sleeping Room Costs view are used to calculate the sleeping room profit, based on the event's arrival date. If the cost is defined for a date range, it is used to calculate the profit for all event opportunities scheduled to arrive within the date range.

This task is a step in Process of Setting Up Pricing and Property Pricing.

To set up sleeping room costing data

  1. From the application-level menu, choose Navigate > Site Map > Property Pricing Admin.
  2. In the Properties list, select the property and click the link in the Property Name field.
  3. Click the Sleeping Room Costs view tab.
  4. In the Sleeping Room Costs list, create a record and complete the fields.

    Some of the fields are described in the following table.

    Comments

    SR Type

    The type of sleeping room.

    Effective Start Date

    The date that the cost is effective.

    Effective End date

    (Optional) The date that the cost no longer applies.

    Cost Type

    Read-only field. Defaults to the Price Override value.

    Cost

    The cost of the sleeping room.
