Create Integration Objects

Integration objects define the intermediate format of the data so that it can be used by the connector components to translate between Siebel data formats and VCML XML data formats.

You use the FINS VCML Wizard Service to create the envelope, internal, and external integration objects, as well as the dispatcher map.

To create integration objects

  1. Start Siebel Tools.
  2. Lock the FINS ANI eHealthCare project.
  3. Choose File > New Object... to display the New Object Wizards dialog box.
  4. Select the EAI tab and double-click the Integration Object icon.
  5. In the Integration Object Builder wizard:
    1. Select the project you locked in Step 2 as the project this integration object will be part of.
    2. Select the FINS VCML Wizard Service as the source system.
  6. Click Next and enter the location of the DTD file you want the wizard to use.
  7. Click Next and on the next page leave the Create envelope integration object check box blank and click Next.
  8. Select the Health_Care_Claim_Professional for the request and response command and give a unique name for each integration object.
  9. Click Next to display the integration object components for the external request integration object.
  10. Expand and select the integration components you want to include in the external integration object for the request command.
  11. NOTE:  Repeat Step 9 and Step 10 for the external integration for response command.

  12. Click Next and select the existing internal integration object RequestClaimStatusDate for both request and response internal integration object.
  13. Click Next and then Yes to finish the process.
  14. The wizard creates two external integration objects for the request and response commands as well as dispatcher map entries associating the internal integration objects, external integration objects, and the data maps to each other. For more details on the dispatcher map, see Transport Adapters.

NOTE:  For general information on creating integration objects, see Integration Platform Technologies: Siebel eBusiness Application Integration Volume II.
